Join us on Saturday, August 3rd, from 8:30 am to 10:30 am to help restore habitat at Lund Ranch in Pleasanton!
Lund Ranch was protected by the Tri-Valley Conservancy and the City of Pleasanton in 2021 to preserve habitat for the California tiger salamander and species native to the region. Part of our important work is the ongoing management and restoration of areas such as Lund Ranch.
Lund Ranch will be open to the public later this year with a new trail. To prevent the spread of weed species that can get caught in hikers’ boots, we want remove these plants before they flower this year.
This event will include identifying and removing weed species that may be harmful to the habitat before they spread. TVC will provide instructions and everything you need.
Make sure to bring water, a hat, and if you have them, gloves. Free snacks and water refills will be available.
Check out some shots from our last volunteer opportunity at the end of June!
