Lou Astbury joined the TVC in June of 2022 as an appointee for the City of Pleasanton. Lou has a keen interest in preserving open space for agriculture and parks as they are important community resources that maintain the high quality of life in the Tri-Valley. He brings over 40 years of experience in agriculture and an understanding of the challenges that growers and producers face. Lou has served on the board and as Co-Chair of the Western Plant Health Association. He was also the founding trustee and President of a foundation promoting school garden programs and served as director of the PhosRock Export Assn. Lou has volunteered with the University of California Cooperative Extension Master Gardener for Alameda County to share home horticulture, pest management, and sustainable landscape practices with the residents of California.
Lou’s vision is to see TVC have a bigger footprint and higher profile in Pleasanton, which will add to the wine business and TVC’s success.
