Kevin Baskin is a Director at The Wine Group, located at the Concannon Winery in Livermore where he managed the facility maintenance, engineering, construction, and wastewater activities. Kevin has lived in Livermore for the past 16+ years and has been in the wine industry for almost 2o years, including managing nearly $100MM in capital improvement projects.
He joined TVC’s Economically Sustainable Agriculture & Land Conservation committees as an advisory member in 2018 and became an at-large board member in 2020. He is currently the Vice-Chair (2022) of the Tri-Valley Conservancy Board of Directors and the Chair of the Economically Sustainable Agriculture Committee.
Kevin grew up in the Central Valley on large chicken ranches used for Foster Farms. He went to college and received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (Minor in Economics) and a Masters of Business Administration. Prior to entering the wine industry, he was involved in the automotive, semiconductor, and food industries. Later, Kevin had the responsibility of managing a 30MM case/yr bottling operations in the Central Valley.
On why he joined the TVC board Kevin remarks, “I feel very fortunate and lucky to have grown up on large open field ranches, being able to explore and enjoy the outdoors. Growing up in that “country” environment is why I want to help in preserving the agriculture and open space we have in the Livermore area in order for the residents and guests to also enjoy”.
