The Program Support Intern will contribute to Tri-Valley Conservancy’s (TVC) mission while providing beneficial exposure to the daily operations of a non-profit organization. As an accredited land trust and community partner, TVC is entrusted with preserving open space, agricultural lands and natural habitats for wildlife to thrive. Reporting to the Associate Director, this role is responsible for administrative duties, tracking progress of our programs and assisting with implementation of our marketing strategy.

PROGRAM SUPPORT – Support TVC operations Staff with tactical components of programs and projects.
– Provide support for the operation of TVC’s youth education program, “Discovery: Youth-In-Nature” including collecting and keying survey results, sending follow-up correspondence to school contacts and ensuring the supply of learning materials is available for the Youth Educators
– Provide support to the Land Conversation Associate including filing, organizing volunteers for stewardship visits and auditing reports
– Complete administrative projects, as assigned, utilizing MS Office suite and MS Outlook
– Conduct on-line research and identify best practices for volunteer engagement and outreach while ensuring the approach aligns with TVC’s established guidelines
– Occasional clerical work will be assigned such as filing, organizing mailings and preparing for volunteers

MEDIA MANAGEMENT – Leverage our website and social media outlets to ensure a cohesive and consistent brand presence.
– Work closely with Associate Director and TVC Staff to plan and post engaging content via approved social media outlets
– Utilize social analytics tools (google analytics, hootsuite, etc.) to generate insight
– Complete directed edits and updates to the TVC website using WordPress and web design platform
– Suggest and implement new features to develop TVC brand awareness
– Communicate with followers, respond to inquiries in a timely manner and monitor patron interactions
– Contribute to marketing and outreach projects such as the Annual Newsletter

– Experience with file sharing and cloud storage applications such as Dropbox
– Highschool diploma or GED required and has earned a minimum of 16.0 college credits
– Displays effective verbal and written communication skills
– Work experience in a customer-centric environment
– Contributed to volunteer efforts on behalf of their Community
