Raised in Pleasanton, Charlene feels fortunate to experience the wonderful Tri-Valley lifestyle. Upon earning a BS, Business Administration from CSU East Bay, she built a successful corporate career as an HR professional. After years of Bay Area commuting, she made the decision to redirect her professional journey. With a desire to contribute her skills on behalf of the community, and a passion for the outdoors, she enthusiastically joined TVC in 2018 as Operations Director.
In 2019, Charlene was promoted to Associate Director. Her responsibilities include oversight of end-to-end operations, managing TVC’s Grant strategy, implementation and growth of TVC’s education program, “Discovery: Youth-In-Nature,” and ensuring TVC is in compliance with Land Trust Standards and Practices as required of an accredited Land Trust.
Continuous learning is important to Charlene, and she holds professional certifications in the areas of Accounting, HR, and Project Management. She resides in Livermore with her husband Byron. They enjoy travel and foodie experiences. Through TVC, they have gained a greater appreciation for local history, agricultural bounties, and the importance of land preservation.
