Volunteers make a huge impact by sharing their time and talents with us. Some volunteers enjoy working outdoors on Stewardship visits or habitat restoration projects while others prefer to help in the office or helping to make our events a success. Here are a few of the main Volunteer Needs below.

What are your talents? Whatever they may be, we can always use an extra hand! Let us know what you’re interested in through the Volunteer Form at the bottom of the page.

Volunteer Needs

Habitat Restoration Projects

Volunteers are needed to help on a variety of land management projects such as creek clean-ups, weed abatement, trail maintenance and realignment, and plant, bird and wildlife surveys. To be notified when we plan our next project dates, please click the link below and complete our volunteer form to get added to our list.

Stewardship

Spend a couple hours outside visiting some of the beautiful properties protected by Tri-Valley Conservancy’s Conservation Easements. See the Stewardship Volunteer description to learn more. To participate, contact our Land Conservation Associate, Carolyn Newton, stewardship@trivalleyconservancy.org or 925 449-8706 ext. 206.

Events & Exhibits

Each Fall, we host our our biggest event of the year, Jeans and Jewels, our annual fundraising gala. This year it will be held at the Casa Real Event Center on November 4, 2016.  We need help before, during, and after the event. Volunteers help plan the event, organize the auction, take tickets, address letters, and do just about everything else necessary to put on this gala fundraising event.   Click here to see photos from Jeans and Jewels.

We need volunteers to help out at a variety of events such as the Summer Social, Livermore Uncorked! Wine Competition & Celebration, and Freeze Frame Photography Competition and Quest for Excellence. We also occasionally schedule volunteers to spend a few hours with Tri-Valley Conservancy at various community outreach events such as parades and street fairs, answering questions and distributing information to the public.  This is a fun job where you get to meet a lot of people. We hope you’ll join us.  Contact Barbara Graham for more information, bgraham@trivalleyconservancy.org or 925 449-8706 ext. 203.

Outreach/Newsletter

News and Views, the newsletter of the Tri-Valley Conservancy, is published three times a year to inform our members and friends about the current issues and events in the Tri-Valley.  Artists, editors, writers, photographers and other contributors are needed to produce the newsletter as well as press releases and other public relations materials.

Office/Clerical

Help us out with mailings, filing, data entry, and archival collections.  Is there a computer “guru” out there who will help us out? Whether you have skills to share, or time to spend with us stuffing envelopes, writing out thank you cards and Holiday cards, we always need help around the office.

Other

What skills would you like to share with Tri-Valley Conservancy?  Give us a call at 449-8706 or e-mail info@trivalleyconservancy.org and we will happily find a way to utilize your expertise.
