Volunteers gave Cattail Pond a spring cleaning!
Thanks to our volunteers for sharing their Saturday morning with us!
They could have slept in that morning but chose to make a HUGE impact instead.
In 2017, volunteers removed “a dump truck full” of invasive plants from Cattail Pond, leaving the critical water source cleaner and healthier for wildlife in Sycamore Grove Park.
But they didn’t stop there. They took care of more than 50 young trees and helped to protect them so they can survive the hot summer months. In return, those trees will grow to provide shade, habitat and fresh air.
These volunteers made a lasting difference in just one morning. It’s captured in the photo album here.
We hope you’ll join us in 2018!
